Personality & Traits

General Overview		As is typical of Marines, looks quiet and unassuming, having a personality more suited to a schoolteacher and generally easygoing. However, in professional mode, is a Marine through and through with a command presence. Oddly for a pilot, is more methodical than flashy, planning a few steps ahead. Although capable of pushing a starfighter to its design envelope, will often do so as a result of planning ahead and using "terrain", rather than instinct, using asteroids and gravity to set "traps" ahead of time.
Strengths & Weaknesses		Somewhat naive and easygoing, but also shy. Although (adoptive) parents provided a stable environment, the trauma of losing her parents became a deep psychological wound that never fully healed, that is also never fully remembered by never fully forgotten
Ambitions		"I must study war so my children may study art and poetry."
Hobbies & Interests		Being an avid disciple and reader of qeS'a' (otherwise known as the Klingon Art of War), has a high interest in Klingon culture and food, though has yet to eat "live" Klingon food, only replicated. In this vein, has also managed to develop a taste of Klingon Bloodwine, but only in small quantities, as can get intoxicated very easily

History

Personal History		Born in 2372, but orphaned during the Battle of Betazed and its following occupation by Dominion forces. Postwar, adopted by Harni and Jasol Melc. Parents were not found, though genealogical research showed relations to some of Betazed's most prestigious families, no direct DNA or data available to track down other family members to reunite. However, unlike most Betazoids, has almost no psi rating, with no telepathic or even empathic abilities. At most, has an uncontrolled ability, what was termed "a sixth sense", such as vaguely knowing someone will walk into the room, or sensing someone walking quietly nearby, though this was humorously described as exceptionally sensitive hearing. Joined Starfleet at the age of 18 in the Starfleet Marine Corps. Although showing an aptitude for Combat Engineering ("Sappers"), decided instead to join the Starfighter Corps, gaining the pilot callsign "Bootleg", for tight piloting and using "terrain" to good advantage. Starfleet Counselling note: Under hypnosis, still displays trauma from childhood during the Dominion War. The decision to not be traditional "Mudleg Infantry" may well be an aversion to said trauma. Although scored adequately in training, in the heat of proper life and death combat, cannot predict reactions
