View Award - First Contact Award
Awarded to individuals and/or starship crews that have engaged in peaceful relations with a species not previously encountered. The species in question must be warp-capable and the contact must not be in violation of the Prime Directive. Normally, the First Contact Award only considers encounters that are peaceable from the outset but does occasionally recognize contacts that begin hostile but end peacefully.
