Bowman was relaxing in her quarters, enjoying some alone time and making sure plans were still in order. If they knew the full extent of what was coming, they'd abandon all hope now. The mighty Federation, crushed to bits. Out here, anyways. And the Cardassian Empire, spanning two quadrants. And then once they picked up the Koldarans and a few other powers, it would be on to the dominion.
Kasella, Prefect of Dalacar. She loved the idea. And Lo'Mah was such a useful pawn. Then again, so was Commander Vargas. They all believed they were working for the Organization when in fact they were working for "Those damn spoonheads" as she'd been called so many times during the war.
The door chime rang, and Bowman looked up. "Come in!" she called out.
"You will be happy to know that the plans are in place." Lo'Mah said. "Tomorrow, Intel will get a confession from a Dalacari officer confirming Lieutenant Mordin's involvement. At that point, my men will place her under arrest."
"Then I may close the investigation. And the blockade will breach." Bowman said.
"That is correct." Lo'Mah said.
"Excellent. The Organization will send an attack fleet to assist the Klingons in destroying the station. Have you picked a planet to maroon the crew on?"
"There's a planet nearby with some dreadfully insufferable conditions. Once the rations run out, they'll be dead in a matter of days." Lo'Mah said.
"What a pity. A sad loss of life when all they had to do is have a spine and not screw everything up in this quadrant with their handholding and their love-ins." Bowman said. "Most probably won't survive the first few hours. The people they send out here are really just pathetic excuses for officers. They would probably try and hug the Borg and talk about peace and love. Ugh. it's revolting."
"What about your new First Officer?" Lo'Mah asked.
"She's not too much of a liability. She'll follow orders and do as she's told." Bowman replied. "I don't think she has much of a fight in her. If nothing else, I'll make her back down."
"Good." Lo'Mah said. "My men have been hearing rumblings in Engineering about you."
"Is that so?" Bowman said. "If you think Commander Meru knows too much, you may dispose of her."
"Have we not killed enough senior officers?" Lo'Mah asked. "We might overplay our hand."
"And you would suggest otherwise? I'm not afraid to wipe out this whole damn crew if I need to in order to achieve our objectives. Relax, Major. Everything is under control. This time the Organization will show it is not a puppy to be kicked around."
"You have the soul of a Klingon warrior, Commander." Lo'Mah said. "Even if you are as sadistic as a Romulan or a Cardassian. I like your spirit."
"Once the Federation has lost its credibility, the Organization can begin to establish a new presence here. Perhaps you will command New Earth. Dangle that wretched bitch Marquette's body from the Promenade as a trophy for our success."
"We will make this quadrant what it should be." Lo'Mah said. "And to hell with the Federation and their almighty principles."
"We will drink bloodwine on the bridge once this is complete." Lo'Mah said. "And now if you'll excuse me, I need to take watch from Bartlett."
"Good luck." Bowman replied.
