Jenna was finally asleep and she was greatful for that. Christine had allowed the otter pups to spend the night with her since all of the crazy things were happening and it was a comfort to Jenna so the wolves and Hawk allowed it for now.
"J'Loni...honey...how you holding up?", he said as he walked up to her and held her in his arms. William was genuinely concerned with his wife's emotional state now.
"For now...I am handling it. The deaths of Meru and Copeland hit me very hard as it was closer to me in the respect of the empathy I posess. I am sure you felt it as well", she said, as she turned in his embrace and looked into his eyes.
~~~Yes my love I did as I also felt your anguish and pain. All this is very upsetting and I am again fearing for your mental state and your health~~~ Kissing him tenderly, she said softly, "I will survive this as I have in the past", breaking the kiss finally. Walking into the small alcove that served as her work station area, she brought up all of the current reports from her people and went over them again. For the most part, most of the primary systems had been checked visually twice. Once when all this started and most recently by Cordale, Salchin, and herself a few hours ago. Now these systems were reading 65 percent ready for now. These were the most important ones the three of them had prioritized and apparently it had worked. She looked next at the secondaries and like the primaries they too came back at 65 percent. This made her happy in knowing that her lady, the Wellington, had a fighting chance of defending herself honorably and not like a lame duck! Now came the tough part, preparations for the talks. She was proud that the Chancellor had asked her to speak as his representative for the Klingon council but it did trouble her as well. The Klingon delegation assigned to the talks were unknown by her and not knowing their houses also raised red flags in her mind. She did not know if they were part of The Cause or not but if it happened that they were and did not adhere to the Chancellor's message, she did have the power to have them removed and she would then continue with the talks. She knew that Mok'Tor would have a security detail there and that in itself helped ease some of her misgivings of the security of the of the talks. What she needed was to find out exactly where her grandfather's fleet was and how soon to get there. Things were beginning to move faster than she liked.
"Wife...it is 0130...please come to bed. You need your sleep and I am lonesome when you are gone from my side", William said. Slowly, a smil crossed her tired face and she got up, "William I am coming to warm not only your body but your heart my husband", she said as she slid into the bed beside him.
