And Stay In There!

Mission: https://wellington.pegasusfleet.site/index.php/sim/missions/id/3
Location: Brig
Timeline: June 18, 2399 @ 0004

When Lo'Mah came to, he was back in the brig. This time with a higher force field, and something that required a little more security clearance to be released. Long story short, unless the power completely failed... He was hopefully in the brig this time for good. He looked around, seeing that Valeria and Roger were standing in front of him.

"I see you think you've won the day, petaQ." he said to Lo'Mah.

Valeria looked down to the floor, and waggled one of her feet. "Lucky us." she said. While normally she disliked the constant fact that Terrans mistook her people for rabbits, in this one case she took merriment in it.

"I don't know what they do to traitors, executors, and cowards in Klingon justice, but take solace in the fact that you won't be facing Ts'usugi justice. The Dalacari would have you live out the rest of your life on a penal asteroid, watched over by orbital guards. Ts'usugi justice entirely depends on the needs of the state." she paused to think, "You'd be mining rare radioactives, and be dead within a month."

It was hard to tell if she was bluffing. "The talks will continue, despite your attempt to prove to the Dalacari that Klingons are dishonorable, cowardly, ill-intentioned dribble."

"They will continue today, perhaps." Lo'Mah said. "But the day will come when you will see that the biggest threat to yourselves is your own moralizing. How do you stand these people?" he asked. "You come from, as best I can tell, a race of people who can fight. How do you throw your lot in with these hand holding children?"

"Is it not the parent's job to teach the children?" Valeria asked, waxing philosophical for the moment. "To teach them to stand on their own feet?"

"It is." Lo'Mah said. "I'd like to know when the Federation will actually stand on its own feet."

"When it's ready." was her reply. She turned to Roger and gave him a nod, "Thank you, for saving my life."

Roger nods and smiles, grimicing a little bit "It was my pleasure. Well almost, i forgot how much is hurts to kick out a force field". He takes a seat nearby and starts stretching out his leg. "I just hope this nasty buisness is over with. I'd like to start up my real job"

"Well, I suppose they'll be looking for a new Marine CO." Lo'Mah said. "Assuming that's what you are."

"We could have medical look it over, make sure there's no permanent damage." Valeria offered, then turned to Lo'Mah, "You're very chatty for a prisoner though I suppose asking you for names of accomplices is pointless."

Roger grumbles about having to see a doctor. "I guess I'll have too. Though i am pretty sure i'll be fine" glares at Lo'mah. "Either be helpful or shut up you bone head"

"What do you need to know that that petaQ Commander Vargas hasn't already told you?" Lo'Mah asked. "We were ordered by our High Command to assist in causing a diplomatic incident. We knew it would be pursued aggressively, and a designated Organization officer was already aboard ready to assume command. We first had to assassinate the senior staff."

"Organization had a hand in this huh? Got any names to go with that accusation or are you in the dark, like they keep all non-humans" said Roger, eyes focused onto Lo'mah.

"Commander Vargas, the station commander at 231. His senior engineer, Lieutenant Commander Moorhead. I know no other people we were taking our orders from. But be thankful your engineers were competent and that you found out quickly because you all would be dead right now." Lo'Mah paused.

"Our orders once Captain Ross and the senior staff were assassinated were to assist the Klingon vessels with freeing the arrested Captain and to destroy the Frontier Midnight. We were to have been the lead ship under Commander Bowman. Bowman herself was the so-called 'designate'."

Roger blinked and stared in disbelief "Wait, your just telling us everything? No threate, no deals? Your just gunna explain everything? I don't get it."

"Because what's the point of trying to make this hard for you? I despise what the Federation has become. But I think I know as much as you know... None of this was an organization plot. I heard Gul Kasella talking."

Roger raised an eyebrow "So the Organization got played by a Gul? Who was the Gul poseing as?" He asked, slightly bewilderd but not showing it.

"She posed as Commander Bowman, our First Officer." Lo'Mah said. "For how long? I'm not sure. You would have to question Gul Kasella yourself on that. I don't know how long she kept the charade up for but it almost seemed from what I heard that Captain Ross was getting rather annoyed with her. As were most of the crew. Though... It seems strange they would pick her."

Valeria gave a nod, "I imagine it was a matter of convenience. Abduction, replacement, assimilating the role and mannerisms. While we're talking... How did you get in touch with any Contacts while here on mission?"

"My sole contact was Commander Vargas." Lo'Mah replied. "Even he said he did not know who his contacts were. They appeared to be Federation officers, but a holofilter could have been used to make them appear human."

"All this convoluted bullshit just to cause chaos for four factions all to cause problems for the federation. And a potential four way war sounded like a good idea to oush Organization goals? Lordy, your a moron. No wonder they tapped you"

"I don't know the full intent behind the plan. But what it sounded like at least when we all thought the Organization was running it was that it would cause the Ts'usugi and Dalacari to attack the Federation if a Klingon attack could be faked. We were to be the lead ship attacking the Frontier Midnight. After we forced the rest of you out of escape pods and sent you to a desert planet, that is." Lo'Mah said. "The Federation would be forced to reach out for assistance in a war with the Ts'usugi and abandon its almighty 'values' and maybe work with the Kazon, or the Haakonian Order. Maybe even the radicals in the Koldaran Empire."

Valeria actually scoffed, "The Koldarans. You might as well have hoped for the Federation to ally with the Cho'Tegra." she shook her head, "Your ambitions have failed, and the truth of your highers ups has been revealed to you. Were you destined for a Ts'usugi judge, you being so helpful might help your case, once it was verified." a pause, "And were you destined for a Ts'usugi judge. One hasn't been summoned, so I don't know which court you are bound for."

"So in that, all I can say is spend these next few hours asking yourself... if this was a life well lived." and with that, Valeria turned to Roger, "Let's get that foot looked at."

Roger nodded in response "Yeah, good bye Ruffles, enjoy the rest of your life."

Lo'Mah rushed towards Roger, forgetting in his rage there was a force field and was knocked back. "I would kill you where you stand if I had the chance!"

Roger stops and turns too look at Lo'mah "Are you familiar with the Organization defeat at Star Base 267, where they tried to take over the station but where actively forced back by star fleet security?"

"Yes..." Lo'Mah said. "The forces were simply lucky."

Roger grins, almost sinisterly "Not forces, force, single...me... so if you actualy want to try too kill me, feel free. But you'd have better luck in the Ts'usugi labor camps. Now sit down, be good, and think about what you've done"

Lo'Mah looked shocked. "There will be thinking. But you will not always best us, petaQ. Remember that."

Valeria stopped, and turned to glance over her shoulder at the imprisoned Klingon. "You don't even know who 'Us' is. Accept your defeat with dignity, acknowledge your role as a pawn in someone else game of shogi, and prepare yourself for the trial to come."

Then, turning almost a full 180 in tone and posture, the rabbitess relaxed and offered Roger a soft smile, "So, about that foot..."
