Mission: https://wellington.pegasusfleet.site/index.php/sim/missions/id/4
Location: Quarters

Finished in sickbay and having returned to her quarters, Siobahn had showered and changed into civilian clothes and now found herself in the middle of her eerily tidy (thanks to Renee) living area, text book for pediatric emergency medicine open in her hands, and music playing loud enough that she was oblivious to everything around her as she danced about while reading from the book. She had had a great day, Hailey didn't have bridge watch tonight, and she was generally just happy and wanted to dance, even if she was studying while she did it. All she was waiting on now to make her day perfectly complete, was for Hailey to be off shift.

Hailey took off the uniform jacket as she entered Siobahn's quarters and smiled as she stopped just to watch Siobahn dancing, head buried in the book. For her, it had been a longer day working the troops through some more detailed scenarios using live ammunition and camoflage paint for good practice. She rubbed her face again, where she'd had some particularly stubborn makeup from before, then leaned back against the wall to watch. Her girl, that's what she thought of the redhead, was rather graceful, unlike Hailey herself, and it was a pleasure as she held he jacket.

As she spun around Siobahn realized that Hailey had finally entered the room. With a squeal of delight she tossed the book onto the couch and grinned. “Computer, music off,” she ordered as she sashayed across the room to Hailey, putting her arms up around Hailey’s neck. “I didn’t hear you come in,” she said with a laugh.

Hailey wrapped hers around Siobahn's middle, pulling her in for a quick kiss, "With your music up that loud, I'm not surprised." She chuckled, "God it feels good to be off tonight, be able to relax, spend some time with my best girl. You know, maybe I should go to the Captain and tell her I don't want to be the Second Officer anymore. What do you think?"

“I think you’d regret it if you did,” Siobahn said with a smile. “But I am glad tonight I get you to myself,” she grinned again. “I thought tonight we could just stay in...” her grin turned wicked. “Tonight I don’t want to share...”

"I have no problem staying in." Hailey replied,"No problem whatsoever. Movie, popcorn, snuggle? Or did you have something else in mind?"

"Mmmmm...." Siobahn grinned, "How about you start with a shower..." she reached up and traced her fingers across Hailey's cheek. "You're still wearin' warpaint darlin'..."

"It's still there?" Hailey grumbled, "How many times..." She sighed and released Siobahn, "I guess I can do that." She shook her head slightly,
While I'm in there?" She raised an eyebrow.

Siobahn grinned wickedly. "I thought you'd never ask..."

Freshly showered, again, and wrapped in a robe, Siobahn curled up on the couch, with Hailey's arms around her, grinning like the proverbial cheshire cat. She laced her fingers with Hailey's and looked up at her. "I had a good day in sickbay today," she said easily, her happiness clear in her voice. "I actually completed my first ever surgery. I'm kind of impressed with myself actually."

"Really?" Hailey squeezed tightly for a moment, "I'm proud of you! So, now, you have to tell me exactly what happened, don't leave out any of the details. I really, REALLY want to know everything!"

"Serious abdominal wound that removed most of his insides and a severed leg. I had Nurse Capillion assisting. We stitched the abdominal wound first, returnin' the insides as we went... it all sealed up nicely, you can barely even see the stitch work... but reattaching the leg was a bit trickier, it required some more intricate work." Siobahn started to explain.

Hailey's eyes bugged at the description of the injuries and she shifted so she could look into Siobahn's face, "Wait, wait, wait... Severed leg AND extruded organs? Holy shit... That's.. Why didn't you call me? I know it needed fast work, but I could have been there in just a couple minutes!" She visibly got a hold of herself, "But... You apparently handled it.. Sorry, go on."

Siobahn's eyes sparkled as she spoke. "Well, it wasn't like it was difficult," she replied cheekily. "Nurse Capillion assured me that the procedure was perfect, but she will will bring Henri back to see me in a few days so I can do a follow up with him."

"Henri is with Eries?" Hailey was now absolutely confused, "Eries's husband is Pierre, down on New Earth. Who is this Henri and why is he with her? Or..." She nodded, "She must have Henri with her just to keep an eye on him while he recovers, but he should still be in sickbay after something that major. I'm surprised he managed to wheedle you into letting him go so soon."

"I didn't see the point of keepin' him in sickbay takin' up a biobed, and I really think that Nurse Capillion would have been devastated if i had kept him in, she was really quite distraught when she brought him in to start with..." Siobahn replied thoughtfully.

Something just didn't make sense as Hailey spun the wheels in her head. Two and two were trying very hard to equal four, but had already spiraled out into three digits already. "Eries would have been devastated? She brought him in?"

Siobahn shook her head quickly, finally catching the name. "No, not Eries," she replied with a smile. "Aurore. She bought Henri in after he got attacked by a mean old dragon."

"Aurore?" Hailey said disbelievingly, "Eries daughter? Dragon?"

Siobahn nodded solemnly, trying very hard to keep a straight face. "I think really Henri probably just got caught in somethin', but she said it was a dragon."

"I... I... Bu, you,she.." Hailey's brain went into overload and she leaned back into the couch again, "I surrender!"

Siobahn burst into laughter, unable to help herself. "Henri is Aurore's beloved teddy," she finally explained. "She escaped their quarters today while her Momma was busy, her teddy got hurt so she came straight to sickbay. I had to fix him, how could I not?"

Hailey burst into her own laughter, "I-You!" Her words really weren't there, so she grabbed the back of Siobahn's robe and pulled her backwards back into her arms and playfully nipped her neck, "That was mean of you, stringing me on like that!" She protested, then patted Siobahn's belly, "Good job!"

Siobahn grinned. "It may have been mean, but it was fun..." She pulled Hailey's arms around her again, and snuggled into her. "How was it with the Marines today?" she asked, changing the subject. "You look like you had a rough day..."

"Actually, it was fun." Hailey smiled, "Jungle warfare exercises, working on them moving through jungle terrain, played ambusher a couple times. A couple of the kids really have good reflexes, but they never stood a chance! With who I've got left and with who I have coming in really soon, I think we'll have ourselves a tiddly little team. In fact... How mean am I?"

"Well, I don't think you're mean at all..." Siobahn replied with a smile. "But what are you planning?"

"Two people I know are going to be here a day before we're slated to leave the planet and I was thinking of having them 'test' the troops. They come on board as civilians, stay in visitor's quarters a day or two, then execute a sneak attack on the detachment. Find out how my boys and girls react to THAT sort of surprise." Hailey's grin was feral, "I think it would be interesting."

Siobahn laughed softly. "I take it back, you are mean," she said with a smile. "But I still love you," she grinned. "I think it would be one way to work out what you're dealing with and where to focus their training."

"And show them what Raiders can do when they work together as a team and with surprise. But I think Nyx might surprise them... I might have to brief her in on it." Hailey's concern was obvious,"She's quick with those blades and I don't want any truly unnecessary casualties."

"I've heard about her, they said she's all kinds of impressive... if you think she may actually do damage in the heat of the moment you may need to bring her on side with you," Siobahn replied. "Obviously she's not your primary point of focus, you really want to see how the others manage."

"And I have a few things planned for her anyways." Hailey agreed, "In an unannounced ambush, yup, I shall learn quite a bit about them! And then the REAL training begins. For them and for you." She said mischeviously, "Just you wait, sweetheart, I have plans for you!"

Siobahn laughed and shook her head quickly. “Nooooo, you are far, far too busy to have plans for me... what with your bridge shifts and marine trainings and stints in sickbay and everything else, you couldn’t possibly have plans for me... besides, I have too much on, I have sickbay, and my studies... and... and.... and sickbay...”. She looked at Hailey, attempting to pout.

And that was far too kissable for Hailey to resist, which wiped the pout away, "If I can use my time training troops to spend time with you, even teaching you to beat the crap out of someone else by, well.. um... Beating the crap outta you? The Marines do have a fine doctor, you know."

“Mmmmhmmmm....” Siobahn murmured. “I know exactly how damn fine the marine doctor is, and exactly how skilled her hands are... I just prefer them for other uses...” she grinned wickedly. “But something tells me I am not getting out of this that easily am I?”

"I can't guarentee being right there with you if the shit hits the fan." Hailey said somberly, hands moving upwards, "So I'm gonna try to make you able to maybe protect yourself until I or someone else can come save you. You wouldn't be willing to use a gun, would you?"

"Last time I touched a gun I dislocated my shoulder," Siobahn replied with a laugh. "It wasn't all that much fun. But little ones aren't that hard, right? You just point, you pull the trigger thingy, and it goes bang?"

Hailey almost cringed, but didn't, "There's a bit more to it than that, honey, but I can teach you the right way, if you ever want to learn. Not gonna push you, though, I don't want you to do it just for me, all right?"

"But I want to do things for you," Siobahn replied softly. "I probably won't pick up a gun straight away, but we can start with somethin' easier, can't we? You're not going to throw me right in to full marine training are you?" She suddenly asked quickly, her eyes widening a little.

"You do have the most important skill already learned: Running. Running towards the fight, running away from the fight. You can't run, you're screwed. But, no, I have no intention of turning you into a Marine! And I don't want you to do anything you don't WANT to do, either." Hailey lowered her voice, "I love you for being you, not because I want you to become another me. I'll teach you whatever you WANT to learn, but don't force yourself, all right?"

"Okay..." Siobahn replied with a content smile. "Just promise me one thing?" she asked softly.

"Of course." Hailey smiled back, "What can I promise you?"

"No matter how busy we get, we always make time for this? Running, training, occupying the same deck at the same time... I don't want it to replace this..." Siobahn replied softly.

"There is much I would give up for this." Hailey admitted, "I mean, we have movies to watch, popcorn to eat, gorgeous women to tickle..." She let that sink in for maybe a second before she put words into action.

Siobahn shrieked momentarily before laughing, trying to wriggle away. "No fair!" she cried through her laughter as she tried to both fend off Hailey's hands and retaliate.

Hailey successfully fended off all of Siobahn's attacks, an evil grin on her face until she yelped and suddenly had to cease her attacks as she fought determinedly to defend herself, which turned out to be a futile effort. In the end, all she could do was curl up, laughing uncontrollably.

Gasping to catch her breath through her laughter, Siobahn slowed her own assault and grinned wickedly. "Now I know your weakness," she said, her voice light with laughter.

"I refuse to surrender." Hailey croaked out. Then convulsed in another barrage of laughter before Siobhan finally stopped, "I've changed my mind, I surrender, I surrender!"

Siobahn stopped tickling and just watched Hailey for a long moment, unable to help but smile. "You're beautiful when you laugh," she said softly, brushing hair away from Hailey's face. "You should laugh more often."

Blushing, something Hailey would have sworn she never did, but which seemed to be a common thing around Siobhan, she shook her head, "Never been all that much to laugh about." She admitted, "Not until you came into my life."

With a wicked grin, Siobahn leaned in close, "Well, I shall have to attempt to change that," she replied evilly, flexing her fingers as though she were about to launch another tickle attack.

"Oh, shit." Hailey said as she saw the incoming attack, grabbing Siobahn from above her with two hands fripping her robe and pulled her down to kiss her pre-emptively.

"Mmmmm...." Siobahn murmured between kisses. "That's one way to disarm your opponent... do you think it would work during training sessions?" There was a vague hint of hopefulness to her voice before she moved in for another kiss, sighing contentedly.
