Mission: https://wellington.pegasusfleet.site/index.php/sim/missions/id/4
Location: Lounge
Timeline: 2 Days Before Mornin'

Walking into the lounge, Temperance paused and looked around before her gaze finally settled on Renee, again settled in the same table she had been in last time. With a grin, she walked across and slipped into the seat opposite her new friend. "So, I owe you an apology, and I also owe you my most sincere thanks," she said easily. "But, I do need to know, what time did YOU get back to the ship?"

"Waaaay too late for my own good." Renee groaned, "Did I leave you there, or did you leave me? I really can't remember which first... They were really cute, though, weren't they?"

With another laugh, Temp shook her head. "Honestly, I don't recall... there were drinks with umbrellas, then there was lots of half naked, *incredibly* good looking men... and then you were gone!" She grinned and shrugged. "It was good though, wasn't it? I don't know about you, but I certainly don't have ANY complaints!"

"I wasn't complaining!" Renee giggled, "In fact almost the opposite. You know, when you wake up at some stranger's beach house, barely remember what happened and then sneak out? Haven't done something like that in one helluva long time, almost makes me change my mind about guys. ALMOST."

"The only downside I see now is the lack of shore leave while we're chasing this black hole. I guess there's always the holodeck," Temp replied with an easy smile, reaching forward and tapping the table, ordering herself a large fruit tingle and a tray of chicken strips. "I will be honest, I was quite sure you were completely out of your damn mind when we went down to the planet, but, you proved me wrong. Kudos to you my friend."

Renee reached out and snagged one of the chicken strips and began to munch on it, "But... What happened with you after I left? I didn't mean to just abandon you, but that doesn't mean I don't care! Please tell me you had some fun of your own? Please, oh please, oh please."

Leaning forward, Temp grinned conspiratorially. "I can say with absolute and one hundred percent certainly that I have NEVER acted that way before... but I am quite confident that it is entirely probable that you beat me back to the ship," she finished, grabbing the drink and taking a sip. "It was just what I needed to take my mind off things."

Her fingers tapped the console and an identical drink appeared and Renee's eyes glittered in delight, "And you wanna know the best part? We don't ever have to see them again!" She smiled widely, "They think they got the better end of the deal, but we know better. Don't you think"

"Well..." Temperance started... "There is something for leaving a 'lasting impression', don't you think? You know that moment when you just know that no matter what, they will think of you for the rest of their lives?" She laughed and grabbed a chicken strip. "I still can't believe that I did it..." she said, lowering her voice slightly. "Seriously, if my parents were alive they would be utterly mortified! Not that they would approve of much of anything I do now, but hey..."

"And this way is far more fun!" Renee bubbled, "And you don't have to do this all the time, it's just soooo stress-relieving to do this, especially after what we've been through!" She took a drink, "And... Now that we've done this, we need to get you into something a bit more revealing next time. And then you can pick and choose which one you take back with you, because they'll all be drooling over you."

Scrunching up her face, Temp shook her head quickly. "When you like chocolate as much as I do, 'revealing' is not something that happens," she replied with a laugh. "But apparently I don't need to complain, because you have more than enough for both of us!"

Renee laughed, "They're not THAT big..." She glanced down to regard the subjects of the discussion, "But I can find something very flattering for you, no doubt."

Plucking the cherry off the side of her drink, Temp dropped it in the bottom of the glass and took another chicken strip. "I still don't understand how you can spend so much time shopping, doesn't it get boring? Clothes are clothes, are clothes... stuff is stuff..." She shook her head. "I don't get how someone can be so passionate about inanimate objects!"

"It's not about the things themselves, it's about the relaxing of the mind and body from the day-to-day crap we have to go through. And what's purchased aren't just things either, they're reminders and memories of a good time!" Renee's eyes were bright, "The number of outfits I have that I've worn once and might not wear again? Lots, but each one is a memory."

Temp shook her head slightly. "I moved here with a back pack and two small packing crates. I've never had 'stuff'." She grinned and looked at Renee. "Well at least it makes packing and moving all the easier!"

"For me it's almost like a need a whole quartermaster team. I think when I moved on board, it was twelve or so full garment boxes, eight packing crates and other various things." Renee beamed, "Unpacked it in one helluva day!"

With a laugh Temperance took another sip of her drink. "You are a very unique woman Renee," she replied easily. "I can honestly say I have never met anyone like you."

"Aww, thanks sugarcube." Renee smiled, "That's the best sorta compliment a girl can ask to get." She pondered a moment, "Gorgeous, smart, sexy and yup, unique."

"And it suits you," Temp replied with a smile, settling back in her chair. She held her glass up momentarily, her smile turning to a grin. "Here's to stress-relief," she said with a laugh. "And counting the days until shore leave starts again!"

Renee reached over and clinked her glass with Temperance's, "To shore leave! And hot guys! And keeping the two of them in the same spot!"

"Sounds like the perfect plan to me," Temp replied easily. "No mess, no fuss, no strings."
