Paul just looked over at Andrew for a moment... Still processing what it was he was seeing. Was this some kind of a trick? He had no idea, but... Something seemed awry. "Andrew..." he paused, almost feeling the lump in his throat. "You're.... You made it!"

Gervais looked at Paul a bit bewildered. Made it from what? "The attack? We have a few scrapes but, yeah... I... I guess we did."

Without a second thought, Paul leaned in to give Andrew a hug and a kiss on the cheek. "They said you were dead when your ship was attacked and blew up. I hoped to hell you got out in time.... Did any others make it?"

'What the Commodore said was true' Gervais thought to himself. 'They are from another reality.' He knew he couldn't say too much about what was going on, but he stayed in Paul's embrace just a bit longer. "It's.... complicated." Andrew said. "I, uh...thought you died too. But... I knew you'd be too stubborn to do that." he said with a half smirk.

"You still seem really surprised to see me." Paul replied. "Something seems odd about this place. For a warship, it looks way too comfortable."

"Like i said. Complicated." Andrew replied, taking his hand. "Is everything all right with you?"

"The usual... Fight the Shalti, cheat death.... Just another glorious day in saving what's left of the Federation, right?" he asked. "Who doesn't like a hopeless cause?"

"Well, I mean... I'm with you aren't I? And there's your wardrobe...."

"Wardrobe? Andrew, I've got like 1 off duty outfit because I've been pretty much on 12 hour rotations and barely have any time left. That's why I couldn't make the holodeck to go take in Risa, remember? Well.. at least before Risa was obliterated."

Risa? Obliterated? What was he talking about? Oh.... right. Alternate universe. "I mean, I'm sure I would have forgiven for you for it..."

"I hope you did." Paul said. "How did you even survive?"

"Like I said.. it's complicated. We managed to trick the enemy sensors into thinking we were all gone and headed to safety down by.... Another planet in the area." he added. "Still not entirely sure how we pulled it off, to be honest." He wasn't about to say or do anything that could cause issues in either timeline. This would be bad enough if Commodore Myers found out.

"So this new ship... Are you a pilot too?" Paul asked

"Of course." Andrew said. "I was in the running to replace yo.... To be the assistant FCO. Still working on that." he added cautiously. "I have to go back to my shift... Can I see you? Later?" he asked

"Of course." Paul said before kissing Andrew on the cheek. "I missed you so much."

"I missed you too" Andrew replied
