Location: Tink's Quarters
Timeline: June 16, 2399 @5:00 PM

Before getting into her office and getting settled in to a role she never asked for, Michelle also recognized there was another thing she forgot. Someone who would be very happy to see her. She'd been away from her dog for 5 days, which was an eternity to her but probably more to Wiggles, who was named as such due to the fact his tail almost constantly wagged. She'd asked the ship's counselor to look after him during that time.

She rang the door chime and could almost hear the barking from inside the quarters.

"Enter!" came a confident and self-assured voice from inside.

Tink was sprawled on the floor, teasing and petting the dog, too engrossed in the activity to be bothered with something as mundane as answering the door.

Wiggles ran towards Michelle, nearly knocking her over. She laughed wishing she had the energy of this 9 week old Springer Spaniel. "Hello, boy!" she said as Wiggles jumped around Michelle in excitement. "Did you miss mummy? Did you?" she asked as he continued to pant. She picked him up to give him some attention. "I guess the answer's yes."

Tink rolled herself over and up to a sitting position, giving Michelle a fake scowl.

"I'll have you know we were quite happy here until you came strolling in."

Michelle laughed as Wiggles licked her face. "Give him a ball and he'll be happy over anything though. Thank you so much, again. Did I miss much?"

"No, not much at all. He was, uh..." Tink smirked, eyes sparkling with mischief, "helping me unpack."

Michelle laughed. "I'm sure he was great at that. He always likes to be everyone's little helper, doesn't he?" she said, booping the puppy's nose before putting him back down. "Here I thought Bowman would have tried to seize the ship or something stupid like that."

"Nah," Tink grinned as she pushed herself up from the floor to stand with arms crossed over her chest before her superior. "Too much work."

"She'd have found a way." Michelle replied. "So... Aside from looking after Wiggles here, what else were you up to?"

Tink shrugged, "Not much. Just getting my shit sorted." She paused and focused a questioning gaze on her commanding officer. "I am allowed to say shit, Commander, am I not?"

"Oh like I bloody mind." Michelle said with a laugh. She was still getting quite used to this. Events were moving a little too quick for her liking.

"Good," Tink grinned. "Then I think we'll get along just fine."

"Well I think the dog agrees with that." Michelle added with a laugh.

Tink laughed and nodded. It was going to be a good assignment.
