Mission: https://wellington.pegasusfleet.site/index.php/sim/missions/id/3
Location: Marine XO's Office
Timeline: June 15, 2399 @ 3:00 PM

Lo'Mah entered his own office, sneaking quietly past the other Marines on the deck. He loved the unit he'd been posted to, he even respected Colonel Blanchard as a person and as a warrior. But he knew what was about to happen was necessary. He closed the door, and turned on his comm panel. He knew he was about to betray the Corps and betray Starfleet, but he cared little for that.

"Computer, enact security measure Lo'Mah Alpha 4 7 5. Secure channel to Starbase 231. Recipient, Commander Vargas" Lo'Mah said.

Within a few minutes, Vargas appeared on screen, also a secure channel from his end. "You caught me at a bad time. What do you need?"

"You may report to command that the faulty chips have slowed the ship down and the Engineers are scrambling to fix it." Lo'Mah said. "The transporters failed, and they will be all boarding the shuttle. Colonel Blanchard left me in charge down here. He told me why after returning from the meeting."

"Excellent." Vargas replied. "Once the senior staff are dead and the Designate is installed on your ship, you will transmit that confirmation to me. I will relay the information to the Klingon vessels parked by the wormhole. I am also transmitting information that will aid in your mission. The Klingons will cloak and set course for the outpost. Once we are there, the Designate is to order the Federation patrols to stand down and enter pursuit--"

"You know the Starfleet patrols won't stand down." Lo'Mah said.

"The information I have sent you contains falsified orders from Admiral Marquette herself. It also establishes the death of Captain Ross as a Dalacari and Ts'usugi joint effort. The Intel will be "transmitted" and it will look like an official Starfleet communique. Nobody will be able to tell the difference. IF the Starfleet vessels resist, you are to engage them."

"Understood. I will inform our designate. The Commodore assigned to this mission and a couple crew have already left." Lo'Mah said.

"That is fine. In a few hours, there'll be no peace talks. And they will be our prisoners." Vargas said. "With one of their largest ships disabled and under our control, we'll maroon the crew on a planet nearby. At least the ones who don't fight back once they've caught on. You may execute those ones on sight."

"Is it truly wise to provoke the Ts'usugi?" Lo'Mah asked. "If we go after the Dalacari, they will join on their side of any conflict."

"The point is that the Federation will then be forced to ally with other more powerful races to win a war. This revolting hand-holding while talking about how to be nice to each other will stop, and eventually we'll have adults making decisions on New Earth and not these people turning the Delta Quadrant into a love-in. Don't worry, Major. All you have to do is follow orders."

"And who will be the person framed for the destruction of the ship?" Lo'Mah asked.

"There is a Ts'usugi science officer on board the Wellington. You will have the opportunity to place her under arrest. We have already generated a confession that will appear to be from a Dalacari officer we picked up on board. The benefits of being Station Commander is that I can get a lot done around here."

Lo'Mah looked back and smiled. Everything was now in motion. For Ross and his senior staff, it would truly be a good day to die. "You may tell your contacts that we will await that information. We will be in touch. QaPla!" he said as the conversation ended.

"Computer, delete all records of prior conversation. Authorization Lo'Mah Omega 4 2 1.

"Transmission deleted." the computer's voice chimed. The Klingon Marine XO simply looked back and smiled. These fools. They had no idea.
