Mission: https://wellington.pegasusfleet.site/index.php/sim/missions/id/3
Location: Brigg
Timeline: During "Unexpected Arrival"

Roger sits patiently in his cell, keeping one eye on his brigg mate, the other on the main doors. "So... whats your name and what are you in for?" He says to the Tsu'sugi across from him.

It was hard to stay in shape as it were on a starship already, nevermind in a brig cell. Though, she made due. Stretches, mostly, but the walls offered a decent bit of resistance training. She had watched Roger come in earlier, but wasn't sure about him. I mean, he seemed like a nice enough fellow. Built like one of her brothers. At his question, she gave a smirk and walked up to the field, to give him her attention.

"Valeria Mordin." she answered, "As for the charges against me, I believe currently it's conspiracy, mutiny, sabotage, and murder." she listed, calmly, "Though the underlying truth is I may wind up being just a pawn in a larger scheme concerning outside forces and organizations."

"I've learned that when you profess your innocence too loudly, it makes you seem more guilty. Though, apparently there are 'people' working to get me out." she paused, "So, fair is fair. Who are you, and what are you in for?"

Roger give Valeria and warm smile. "I am Roger Stevens, and i am here to ensure whoever framed you doesn't attempt to do anything else while you are locked away... though officially i am here because a threw a PaDD through a shipping container and needed to cool off." He takes off his overshirt, which drops with a audible thump onto the floor and starts to rip it up and turn it into a set of hand and foot wraps.

"I wasn't aware I was in some form of danger but..." something distracted her, "...given the circumstances of my being here I should expect someone to close the loophole."

"I appreciate the extra pair of hands. I can handle myself, but I welcome assis- I'm sorry, did you say THROUGH a shipping container?"

Chuckles at the apparent shock. "Yes, through. I think my best throw ever buried the PaDD into a ship hull. May not have been a PaDD... maybe it was a rock." He shrugs and returns too the brig's bench. "So, who do you think set you up?"

She thought about it for a moment. "Well, I'd like to at least believe I don't have any enemies on the ship. Though there are some people I haven't really had the chance to talk with." Roger seemed friendly enough, but with everything she had heard so far, who knows who was an enemy or not. "I was arrested in Sciences by Lo'Mak, so I figure that's as good a place as any to start the chain. He seemed to take a bit of pleasure in arresting me, though. Maybe he just doesn't appreciate science?"

That, or he hated Ts'usugi.

"Lo'mak? Sounds like a Klingon. So you have a Klingon in security? How enterprising of this ship" he smirks, hoping she got the joke.

She gave a soft smirk, "Your sovereign grasp of defiant humor is intrepid." she kept the joke rolling. "Though, if there's a conspiracy, it only makes sense for them to close off any loose ends. Though, let's just hope they're as poor about that as everything else I've heard. Commander Bartlett has said they're mucking up quite a bit, pardon my tongue." she paused, and gave him a quizzical look, "You're new on board, aren't you? I don't recall seeing you prior."

"Yeah, i just arrived on ship about maybe 20 minutes ago with my boss Jack. I got word i needed to be here, so i made a way to be here. And now here I am, to make sure everything is alright and stays that way"

"I appreciate it." she said simply, but with a sliver of a smile. On one hand, being treated like a damsel in distress was disheartening... but she didn't feel like she was being *treated* as such. It was a precaution, and one she was glad to receive if the alternative meant her being dead.

"Well, allow me to welcome you formally to the Wellington. We have exceptional personal training simulations, universal level health care, and..." she motioned around her, mostly to her cell, "... deluxe accommodations."

She smiled. She actually smiled.

"Oh i am quite familiar, I used to be Star Fleet security. I was discharged a while back. Honorably, but still discharged. So how long have you been with the fleet?"

"Two, maybe three years." she recalled. "I went through the required courses back home, and managed to convince the officers of the fleet that being in Starfleet should count towards the mandatory service requirement that all Ts'usugi have. Every child of Ts'usu must serve their time in service to the emperor's armed forces." she said, and she didn't seem upset or downtrodden by the thought. It just was something she accepted, part of who she was, and that was all there was.

"One of my brothers wants to be a fighter pilot. My oldest sister wants to be a medic. My youngest is learning to read Earth Standard with all the letters I send home. I write them twice, once in Ts'usubi so everyone can read them, and again in Standard so they can learn the language. It's such a weird language, I almost have trouble imagining I can speak it." she said with a smirk.

"Well you speak very elogently and your voice is very nice. And yeah i supposed Earth Standard is a weird language, it's like it clubbed other languages in a back ally and rummaged through its pockets for loose grammer" he grinned at his own joke. "Well. I say we better get some rest, no telling whats going to happen when these days"

She gave a nod and said a phrase in that melodic tongue of the Ts'usu that didn't quite translate. "Thank you." she said simply afterwards. "I've always regarded being well educated as something to be proud of." she paused, and gave a smirk, "And yes, Earth Standard is a rather violent language. Rummage through their pockets for loose grammar..." that seemed to amuse her. Though, at his suggestion of sleep, she gave a nod.

"Should anything happen, and I'm not awake for it, wake me?" she asked, before moving over to the bench and taking a seat.

"Yes, I promise to wake you up right after they come in to kill you and not a minute before"
