The New Unexplored Space That Awaits

Mission: https://wellington.pegasusfleet.site/index.php/sim/missions/id/4
Location: Ready Room
Timeline: July 3, 2399 0930

ON:

J'Loni was still in her quarters when she finished checking the manifest of the engineering reports that had arrived the night before and there were still things that bothered her from the first set of reports of the final outcome of the diagnostics. Several systems were still untried and still left undone and it still had to be investigated by her teams and to that end she was a bit pissed off. How in the hell did hey expect that on this brief shore leave were they to expect her to have all this craziness ironed out before the ship left for the new mission?

=/\=Captain Bartlett Can I see I=you in your ready room? I have some concerns that I need to have addressed. Is it possible to discuss them with you at your earliest convenience?"=/\= she asked and closed the comm.

All this was un nerving and there was also the up coming court martial of Lo'Mah that she had every intention of being there. Her Grandfathers ships were still docked around waiting for the extradition of the captain and Lo'Mah, who would never make it back to Quono'S alive. The captain, yes he would if only to be executed by the Chancellor in the council hall. J'Loni was beginning to wonder if the captain had heard her comm...

"Of course." Michelle said. "I'm in the ready room and can meet you when you have a moment."

=/\= Understood. I will be there shortly=/\= and closed the com link. Still bitter of the recent events, she gathered the reports, making sure Jenna was safely tucked in, she left the wolves watch Ing her and headed for the captain's ready room. William had the duty watch tonight so he would ne home later to take over should this take longer than expected.

Even though the trip back to New Earth was supposed to be uneventful, they were still comming up with glitches that she thought had been found. It seemed apparent that the Organization had really screwed with the Wellington far more that everyone had thought at first. She was happy with one thing at least and that was when Cor had accepted the Assistant CEO sopt. Turning the corner, she hit the door chime and waited.

Michelle was sipping her coffee and reviewing department reports... Or rather catching up. It seemed everything had still been rather uneventful but there were some lapses in discipline that would need to be addressed... "Looking at the report from Strategic Ops in more detail.

"Sorry to disturb you captain but I feel that there is way to mucho that still neefs to be adressed. With the up coming court martial and. The staggering amounts of statems that need to be gone over. I know. that over 75 ppercent of them were gone over by my people. But, there were and redundant reports that were over looked and I am very disturbed that all this stemmed from the mess from that starbase we were sent and is that these systems could br triggered again unwittingly form another source. Somethimg I don't want to happen again", she said adamently, and she said sitting doen with a plop. Yes J "'Loni was tight, tired and grusdtrated. She meant ni dispespect to the captain. " I am sorry captain but I am geniunely upset, and I mean no disrepect", she said finally.

Michelle paused a moment. The irritation was more than understandable. "The fact we were given those faulty chips is disturbing, I'll give you that. We're thankful they didn't go after the bioneural circuitry.... We may have been really up the creek had they done so. The station's commander and the technicians assigned turned out to be Organization collaborators... Commander Vargas is sitting in a brig cell awaiting his own court martial."

Do you believe that we can find all these screwed up systems by the time we make it back to New Earth? I would hate to begin the docking procedure and something go wrong. I remember the last time something went wrong docking with a ship this size. It was a disaster. We ended up towing the ship to the yard to fix the damn thing and then the captain got his ass in a sling because the systems were screwed up. I would hate for that to you when we dock. I got the Musketeers working four shifts to find the rest of the messed up chips and relays. I got problems with the magnetic constrictors that were supposed to be replaced by the Starbase and the ones that they did are all substandard. William is replicating the new ones as fast as he can and I have Renee and Cor installing them as fast as they can. The warp nacelles are in need of complete overhaul and I have six teams working round the clock on them. I don't know what kind of Starbase we were docked with but they did, and excuse the term but, they did a real FUCKED UP JOB!!!!" she said, exasperated. J'Loni was really pissed about this mess and she was also very tired as well. All the work was beginning to tell on her Klingon frame and whether or not she wanted to admit it, she needed about 24 hours of sleep. However, her job was more important right now and it needed to get fixed before they reached New Earth. What ever Michelle said now was going to make all the difference in the world to her and she hopped it was going to be a good statement.

Michelle pondered the concern for a moment. She knew they'd been in stranger scenarios before, although she had to admit this one was pushing the limits... "I have no doubt that everyone will work as quick as they can to make sure things are normal. We should be fine most of the trip, at least according to the readiness report I recieved yesterday. The intent of the previous starbase was to cripple us before we even got there. I suspect once we defied expectations, the plan to kill the senior staff was some morbid Plan B."

"
Well I hope we don't have any more problems before we get there. I would like to get this finished and give my people a break before we get there. I know that once we get there, the court martial will take place and if I know my law, most of my people will be called as witnesses for the prosecution. If that is the case, I will have my work cut out for me. Most of my people found just about all the evidence needed to convict Lo'Mah and his accomplices. Eric is looking over the nacelle systems again to see if he can recover the missing recording of the incident which would seal the coffin on Lo'Mah for the murders of Meru and Copland. I just hope he can do it. In any case security will also be called as well and I believe that Nyx will be called but she was only following his orders and she did not know that he was...well...and she did prevent the take over of engineering by doing what she did so I believe that it would clear her of any wrong doing. I just hope this goes well cause my grandfather is waiting patiently for the outcome of this so he and the rest of the fleet can go home. All I want to do is keep my blood oath and the right of vengeance on Lo'Mah once this is done. I also hope that the Dalacari will release the Klingon captain to my grandfather so he can take him back to QuonoS so that Mar'tok can take care of business in the High Council. Oh I almost forgot," she said, taking a computer chip from her tunic, "This is the confirmation from the High Council and the Chancellor for the Dalacari. It contains the particulars for the pact and the compensation for the people that were erroneously hurt. It is his hopes that this will be acceptable and strengthen the ties with the Dalacari people", she added.

Michelle nodded... "I'll have Commander Honn pass it along to the Dalacari officials. I'm sure they'll be relieved that these conditions were accepted. Although returning the Klingon Captain may be difficult." she paused a moment. "The Dalacari still remain rather insistent on punishing him. I suppose you can't fault them... To see a single Dalacari is... it's a frightening sight. They've lost half of who they are... It turns a perfectly healthy and ordinary Dalacari into... A shell."

"Well all I can say at this time is that I hope they reconsider and punish him their way but leave him intact for the Chancellor to do what he has to do. But until then Captain, I have to get back to work and it was a pleasure again to talk to you. Thank you again", she said and got up and left the ready room.
