Location: XO's Quarters
Timeline: June 15, 2399 @ 10:00 PM

Bowman walked back to her quarters after what had basically been a 14 hour day. She was used to it, which was more than she could say for some of these other Starfleet types. It's amazing the Federation ever managed to expand outward to space with some of the "vole seduction" they called a work ethic.

She walked into her quarters, relieved to be out of the almost insufferable light that was everywhere on the ship. She sat down and relaxed, and then smiled. Everything had gone to plan. And these fools had no idea how it was going to play out. She realized, however, she had to file her report.

"Computer, secure channel to Tellor Outpost, Alpha Quadrant." she said as she took her seat behind her desk. "Delete all record of communication once transmission is terminated, authorization Bowman Alpha 2 4 5."

At that point, a Cardassian appeared on the screen. "You are late with your report, Gul Kasella. We were worried you'd been found out."

"Apologies, Legate. It's been a rather busy day as you might imagine." She said. "You can report to the Order that our plan is still on track. That fool Vargas believes he's working for the Organization, and their efforts to sabotage the ship have been successful. The operation was almost textbook." she added with a smug grin.

"Excellent." The Legate said. "And the Klingon?"

"Also an unwitting pawn. He suspects nothing. Both of them believe this is something that has been ordered by the Organization. Though I suspect Lo'Mah has some reservations about the bloodshed needed. But if he resists, he will die along with anyone else."

"What is the ship's status?"

"Barely able to jump to warp or defend itself. I'd hoped for a full blowout of all systems but these engineers they have are far too competent." Kasella replied.

"It won't matter in a few hours. A conflict the Federation can't possibly win will be created as the Defence Accord turns on them. The Klingons will be left fighting the Ts'usugi and the Cardassian Union will rush in to make allies with them, saddened by the total failure of their obligations. Dalacar, once Cardassian advisors are in place will need a new prefect, Kasella. I will be happy to recommend you to Protector Lihret. Or at least a leading role in the new occupational government."

"Let's not start handing out political roles, Legate." she replied. "You underestimate the strength of this alliance at your peril. I am content to see the Klingons, the Defence Accord and the Federation with... What's that saying... Egg on their faces? But you may assure the Protector that Cardassia will prevail."

"He expects nothing less." the Legate said.

"What of our prisoner?" Gul Kasella asked.

"Commander Bowman was executed this morning. We can't have any complications to our plan, after all. Tie up some loose ends. Half their senior staff is dead... What's one more body on the pile? Excellent work. I look forward to your further reports." he said, as the transmission ended.

Kasella sat back with a smile... It would be more than just one body. She would see to that.
